. for the second time.]
For the second time, I've got chicken pox. How nice.
Let me lament because I've got a reason to.
I've got the pox, I look like a freak. It's so itchy, I want to scream. I can't eat stuff that I have cravings for. I've got a sore throat and a cough to boot. I hate this. Being stuck at home. No school, no tuition. I hate missing out on things. ARGH. Who gave this pox to me..!?! Why am I always sooo lucky. I can't stand myself. NO. Don't tell me it might be a blessing in disguise. Come try getting poxed first. I'm supposed to rest well at home. Drink lotsa water. Eat well. And do my readings. =( HELP.
Actually I can go on and on. But whining too much is not gonna help rid the pox. Dammit.
Let's see what's on my agenda tmr...
Eat, sleep, medicine, one miserable assignment, eat, sleep, eat, sleep. Wow.
I wanna get out of here. I'll never complain about having too many things to do again.
Pls. =(

MIRROR
I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.
What ever you see I swallow immediately
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike.
I am not cruel, only truthful---
The eye of a little god, four-cornered.
Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall.
It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long
I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers.
Faces and darkness separate us over and over.
Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me,
Searching my reaches for what she really is.
Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon.
I see her back, and reflect it faithfully.
She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands.
I am important to her. She comes and goes.
Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness.
In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman
Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.
